AI Caption Generation

Writing captions for multiple platforms can be time-consuming. SoSocial’s AI Caption Generator creates tailored versions for Facebook, Instagram, and X/Twitter in seconds — all informed by your brand voice and past performance.

How to Use It

1. Open the Compose page and optionally write some initial content or context about your post.
2. Click the Generate Caption button to open the AI Caption Modal.
3. The AI generates platform-specific caption variants, each displayed in its own tab.
4. Switch between the Facebook, Instagram, and X/Twitter tabs to review each version.
5. Click Use on any variant to insert it into your composer.

How It Works

The caption generator uses Claude Haiku for fast, high-quality results. It considers several factors when crafting your captions:

• Brand Settings — Your brand name, description, tone of voice, and content themes (configured in Settings) shape the AI’s writing style.
• Top-performing posts — When available, the AI uses few-shot examples from your best posts to learn what resonates with your audience.
• Platform conventions — Each variant is optimized for its platform. X/Twitter captions stay within 280 characters. Instagram versions include more hashtag-friendly language. Facebook captions tend to be more conversational.

Customizing Results

If the generated captions don’t quite hit the mark, you can:

• Edit them directly in the composer after inserting.
• Regenerate with different context or instructions.
• Use platform variants to further tailor each version.

Tips

• Fill out your Brand Settings before generating captions. The more context the AI has, the better the output.
• Include a brief description of your post’s topic or goal in the editor before generating. This gives the AI direction.
• Use generated captions as a starting point, then add your personal touch.
