Hashtags help new audiences discover your content, especially on Instagram and X/Twitter. SoSocial’s AI suggests relevant hashtags based on your caption so you can boost reach without spending time researching them manually.

How to Use It

1. Write your caption in the composer.
2. Click the Suggest Hashtags button.
3. The AI analyzes your content and suggests 5 relevant hashtags.
4. The suggested hashtags are automatically appended to your caption.

How Suggestions Are Generated

The AI reads your caption and identifies the key themes, topics, and keywords. It then selects hashtags that are:

• Relevant to your content so you attract the right audience.
• Varied in reach — a mix of broad and niche hashtags to balance visibility with competition.
• Natural-sounding — no spammy or irrelevant tags.

The suggestions are generated by Claude Haiku, which processes your caption quickly and returns results in seconds.

Editing Suggested Hashtags

After the hashtags are added to your caption, you’re free to:

• Remove any that don’t fit.
• Add your own branded hashtags.
• Move them to the First Comment field for a cleaner caption (especially useful on Instagram).

Tips for Hashtag Strategy

• Mix popular and niche — High-volume hashtags give broad exposure, but niche hashtags attract more targeted followers.
• Stay relevant — Using unrelated trending hashtags may get impressions but won’t build real engagement.
• Platform differences — Instagram posts benefit from more hashtags (up to 30), while X/Twitter performs better with just 1–3.
• Use First Comment on Instagram — Keep your caption clean by placing hashtags in a first comment instead of the main caption.
• Refresh regularly — Don’t use the same hashtags on every post. The AI generates fresh suggestions each time based on your actual content.
