So Chat — AI Assistant
Use SoSocial's built-in AI assistant to create posts, schedule content, and research topics through natural conversation.
So Chat — AI Assistant
So Chat is SoSocial’s built-in AI assistant that lets you manage your social media through natural conversation. Instead of navigating through menus and forms, you can simply tell So Chat what you need and it handles the rest.
Getting Started
Navigate to the Chat page from the sidebar. You’ll see a conversation interface where you can type messages and receive AI responses in real time.
What So Chat Can Do
So Chat has access to SoSocial’s core tools, so it can:
- Create posts — Describe what you want to post and So Chat drafts it for you.
- Schedule content — Tell it when to publish and it sets up the schedule.
- Research topics — Ask it to research a subject and it performs web searches and synthesizes findings.
- Find images — Request photos on a topic and it searches Unsplash for relevant options.
- Answer questions — Ask about social media strategy, content ideas, or how to use SoSocial features.
When So Chat uses tools on your behalf, you’ll see tool call cards in the conversation showing exactly what actions were taken.
Streaming Responses
So Chat streams its responses in real time, so you can read the output as it’s being generated. This makes longer responses — like research summaries or detailed content plans — feel fast and responsive.
Plan Mode
Toggle Plan Mode to shift So Chat into strategic planning. In this mode, the assistant focuses on content strategy, editorial calendars, and campaign planning rather than creating individual posts. It’s useful for weekly or monthly content planning sessions.
Tips
- Be specific in your requests. “Create a post about our summer sale with a sense of urgency, targeting Instagram” gives better results than “make a post.”
- Use So Chat for brainstorming when you’re stuck on content ideas.
- Review tool call cards to understand what actions were taken and verify the results before publishing.
- So Chat works best when your Brand Settings are configured, as it uses your brand context for all content generation.
