Variations & Repurposing

Creating content for multiple platforms and formats is one of the biggest time sinks in social media management. SoSocial’s Variations and Repurpose tools help you multiply your output from a single piece of content.

Variations

The Variations modal generates multiple alternative versions of your current caption. This is useful when you want to:

• A/B test messaging — Create several versions and see which framing resonates most with your audience.
• Avoid repetition — If you’re posting about the same topic multiple times, variations keep your feed fresh.
• Find the right angle — Sometimes the first draft isn’t the best version. Variations give you options to choose from.

To generate variations, open the Variations modal from the composer. The AI produces several different takes on your content, each with a distinct approach — different hooks, tones, or structures. Pick the one you like best or combine elements from multiple versions.

Repurposing

The Repurpose modal takes your existing content and transforms it for a different format or platform. For example:

• Turn a detailed Instagram caption into a concise X/Twitter post.
• Convert a blog summary into a series of social media tips.
• Adapt a formal LinkedIn post into a casual Facebook update.

Repurposing ensures you get maximum mileage from every piece of content you create, without manually rewriting each version.

When to Use Each
