Instagram Analytics

Track your Instagram Business account performance with profile, post, and story metrics.

Instagram Analytics

The Instagram tab on the Analytics page gives you a complete picture of your Instagram Business account performance. Like the Facebook tab, it’s organized into Profile, Posts, and Stories sub-tabs.

Profile

The Profile sub-tab provides an overview of your account health:

  • Followers — Current follower count with a growth trend chart showing how your audience has changed over time.
  • Reach — Unique accounts that saw any of your content.
  • Impressions — Total number of times your content was displayed.
  • Engagement Rate — A calculated metric showing how actively your audience interacts with your content relative to your reach.

The engagement rate trend is especially useful for understanding whether your content strategy is improving over time, independent of follower count.

Posts

The Posts sub-tab breaks down performance for each published post:

  • Likes — Total likes received.
  • Comments — Number of comments on the post.
  • Saves — How many users bookmarked your post — a strong signal of valuable content.
  • Reach — Unique accounts that saw the post.

Posts are listed with a visual preview and their key metrics, so you can quickly scan for standout performers.

Stories

The Stories sub-tab tracks your Instagram Story activity:

  • Impressions — Total views across story frames.
  • Replies — Direct messages sent in response to your story.
  • Exits — Viewers who left before the story finished.

A high exit rate on a particular frame may indicate content that didn’t hold attention, while replies signal strong engagement.

Tips

  • Compare your Instagram engagement rate over 30-day and 90-day windows to identify meaningful trends.
  • Posts with high save counts often indicate evergreen or highly valuable content — consider creating more like them.
  • Check the Demographics section within the Profile tab for audience insights.
