Managing Billing
All billing for SoSocial is handled securely through Stripe. You can manage every aspect of your subscription — payment methods, invoices, and cancellation — from the Stripe Customer Portal.
Accessing the Billing Portal
- Go to Account from the sidebar.
- Click the Billing tab.
- Click the Manage Billing button.
- You’ll be redirected to the Stripe Customer Portal in a new tab.
What You Can Do in the Billing Portal
Update Payment Method
Add a new credit or debit card, or replace your existing payment method. Stripe supports all major card networks. Your payment information is stored securely by Stripe and never touches SoSocial’s servers.
View Invoices
See a complete history of all invoices for your subscription. Each invoice shows the billing period, amount charged, and payment status.
Download Receipts
Download PDF receipts for any invoice — useful for expense reports, accounting, or tax records.
Cancel Subscription
If you need to cancel, you can do so from the billing portal. Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to a locked state similar to an expired trial.
Billing Cycle
- Monthly plans are billed on the same date each month (based on when you first subscribed).
- Annual plans are billed once per year on your subscription anniversary.
Stripe sends email receipts automatically after each successful payment.
Failed Payments
If a payment fails (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds), Stripe will retry the charge a few times over several days. You’ll receive email notifications about the failed payment. Update your payment method in the billing portal to resolve the issue and avoid service interruption.
Security
All payment processing is handled by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider trusted by millions of businesses. SoSocial never stores your card details directly.
