How to Use Unsplash Images
- Open the Composer to create or edit a post.
- In the media section, click the Image Search button.
- Type a keyword or phrase to search Unsplash’s library (e.g., “coffee shop”, “team meeting”, “sunset beach”).
- Browse the results and click on an image to select it.
- The image is attached to your post and ready to publish.
You can also access Unsplash images through the Research feature when the AI generates topic-related content with suggested visuals.
Licensing and Usage Rights
All images on Unsplash are released under the Unsplash License, which means:
- Free to use for commercial and non-commercial purposes.
- No permission needed from the photographer or Unsplash.
- No attribution required, though crediting the photographer is appreciated.
- Images can be modified and adapted for your needs.
This makes Unsplash images safe to use across all your social media platforms without worrying about copyright claims.
Usage Tracking
Every Unsplash search you make through SoSocial is logged on the Usage page. This helps you keep track of how many image searches your team performs. Unsplash searches are free and do not count toward any billing limits.
Tips for Finding Great Images
- Use specific, descriptive search terms for better results (e.g., “woman working on laptop” instead of just “work”).
- Try different angles or moods — search “cozy office” vs. “modern office” to get varied aesthetics.
- Preview how the image looks in the post composer before publishing to make sure it fits the platform’s recommended dimensions.
