WordPress Integration

SoSocial connects to your WordPress site so you can publish blog posts directly from the app. This is especially powerful when paired with the AI Research feature, which can generate full blog articles ready for publishing.

Setting Up the Connection

1. Go to Settings from the sidebar.
2. Find the WordPress section under Integrations.
3. Enter your WordPress URL (e.g., https://yourblog.com).
4. Enter your WordPress username.
5. Generate an Application Password from your WordPress admin panel:
   • Log in to WordPress admin.
   • Go to Users → Your Profile.
   • Scroll down to Application Passwords.
   • Enter a name (e.g., “SoSocial”) and click Add New Application Password.
   • Copy the generated password.
6. Paste the application password into SoSocial.
7. Click Test Connection to verify everything works.

Publishing to WordPress

Once connected, you can publish to WordPress in two ways:

• From Research — After using the AI Research feature to generate a blog post on a topic, click the Publish to WordPress button to send the article directly to your site.
• From the Composer — When creating content that includes a long-form article, use the WordPress publish option to post it to your blog.

Published posts appear on your WordPress site as new blog entries. You can set a featured image, and the post content is sent as formatted HTML.

Troubleshooting

• Connection test fails — Double-check your URL includes https://, your username is correct, and the application password was copied without extra spaces.
• Publishing fails — Ensure the WordPress user has Editor or Administrator privileges and that the REST API is not blocked by a security plugin.

Disconnecting

Clear your WordPress credentials in Settings at any time. This does not remove posts already published to your site.
