Switching Organizations

Move between multiple organizations if you belong to more than one.

Switching Organizations

If you’re part of multiple organizations — for example, managing social media for different clients or brands — SoSocial lets you switch between them seamlessly.

How to Switch

  1. Look for your organization name in the app header.
  2. Click on the organization name to open the organization switcher dropdown.
  3. Select the organization you’d like to switch to.
  4. The app reloads with the selected organization’s context.

What Changes When You Switch

Switching organizations changes your entire working context. Everything you see and interact with is scoped to the selected organization:

  • Connected social accounts — You’ll see only the platforms connected to the current organization.
  • Posts and drafts — The Compose page, Calendar, and Posts page show content belonging to the active organization.
  • Analytics — Performance metrics and insights reflect the current organization’s data.
  • Settings — Brand settings, integrations, and configuration are organization-specific.
  • Inbox — Messages, comments, and mentions are filtered to the active organization’s accounts.
  • Team members — The team management section shows the current organization’s roster.

Common Use Cases

  • Agency work — Manage multiple clients from a single SoSocial account by switching between their organizations.
  • Personal and professional — Keep your personal brand separate from your company’s social accounts.
  • Multi-brand businesses — Maintain distinct workspaces for different brands or product lines.

Your Role May Differ

Your role can be different in each organization. You might be an Admin in your own organization but a Member in a client’s organization. The features available to you adjust based on your role in the currently active organization.

Tips

  • Check which organization is active before creating content — the org name in the header always shows your current context.
  • Notifications and scheduled posts are organization-specific, so posts scheduled in one org won’t appear in another.
