Emoji Picker

Emojis add personality and visual interest to your social media captions. SoSocial includes a built-in Emoji Picker so you can quickly find and insert the perfect emoji without leaving the composer.

How to Open It

Click the emoji icon in the toolbar above the content editor. The Emoji Picker opens as a popup panel right next to your editor.

Browsing Emojis

The picker organizes emojis into categories for easy browsing:

• Smileys & People
• Animals & Nature
• Food & Drink
• Activities
• Travel & Places
• Objects
• Symbols
• Flags

Click any category tab to jump to that section, then scroll through the available emojis.

Searching

If you know what you’re looking for, use the search bar at the top of the picker. Type a keyword like “heart,” “fire,” or “thumbs up” to filter emojis instantly. This is often the fastest way to find what you need.

Inserting Emojis

Click any emoji to insert it at your current cursor position in the caption. The picker stays open so you can add multiple emojis in a row. Click outside the picker or press Escape to close it.

Tips for Using Emojis

• Use emojis to break up text — A well-placed emoji can make a long caption easier to scan.
• Match your brand tone — Playful brands can use more emojis; professional brands may want to keep it minimal.
• Don’t overdo it — A few strategic emojis add flair, but a caption full of them can feel cluttered and hard to read.
• Use them as bullet points — Emojis work great as visual list markers in social captions.
• Consider accessibility — Screen readers announce emoji names, so make sure they make sense in context.
