Saving Drafts

Save posts as drafts to revisit and refine before scheduling or publishing.

Saving Drafts

Not every post needs to go out right away. SoSocial lets you save your work as a draft so you can come back to it later, refine it, and publish when you’re ready.

Saving a Draft

Click Save as Draft in the action bar at the top of the Compose page. Your post — including the caption, media, selected platforms, and any platform variants — is saved immediately.

You’ll see a confirmation that your draft was saved, and you can continue editing or navigate away.

Accessing Your Drafts

All saved drafts are available on the Drafts page, accessible from the sidebar navigation. The Drafts page shows a list of all your saved posts with a preview of the caption and media.

Editing a Draft

Click any draft to reopen it in the composer. All your previous content is restored — caption, media, platform selections, and variants. You can make changes, and then either:

  • Save as Draft again to keep working on it later.
  • Schedule it for a specific date and time.
  • Publish Now to send it out immediately.

When editing a draft, the composer title changes to “Edit Draft” and the primary button shows “Save as Draft” to make it clear you’re working on existing content.

Using AI with Drafts

You can use any of SoSocial’s AI tools on your drafts:

  • Open a draft and click Generate Caption to get fresh AI-written variants.
  • Use Suggest Hashtags to add relevant hashtags.
  • Check the Engagement Score to see how your draft might perform.

Tips

  • Draft early, publish later — Save ideas as drafts whenever inspiration strikes. You can schedule them during your next planning session.
  • Use drafts for approval workflows — Save posts as drafts for team review before scheduling.
  • Batch your content — Create multiple drafts in one sitting, then schedule them throughout the week.
