Uploading Media
Add images and videos to your posts using drag-and-drop, file picker, or URL upload.
Uploading Media
Visual content drives engagement on social media. SoSocial makes it easy to add images and videos to your posts with multiple upload methods.
How to Upload
There are three ways to add media to your post:
- Click the media area — Opens a file picker where you can select files from your computer.
- Drag and drop — Drag files directly from your desktop or file manager into the media area.
- Upload from URL — Paste a direct link to an image or video hosted online.
You can upload multiple files at once to create a media gallery or carousel post.
Supported Formats
SoSocial supports the most common image and video formats:
- Images — JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP
- Videos — MP4, MOV
Automatic Image Variants
Different social platforms prefer different aspect ratios. SoSocial automatically creates cropped variants of your images to fit each platform’s requirements. This means your photos will look their best whether they’re displayed in Instagram’s square grid, Facebook’s landscape feed, or a Story’s portrait frame.
Managing Uploads
Once uploaded, your media appears in the media area of the composer. You can:
- Reorder files — Drag to rearrange the order of images in a multi-image post.
- Remove files — Click the remove button on any uploaded file to delete it from the post.
- Preview — Check the right-side preview to see how your media will look on each platform.
Tips
- Use high-resolution images for the best quality across platforms.
- Vertical video (9:16) works best for Stories and Reels.
- Keep videos within each platform’s size and duration limits for smooth publishing.
